Whoa! You actually are bothering to look in here. Well welcome to our photo's page. Currently we have just slapped this together to finish establishing the site. We will be improving on this in time.
This section of our site will have photos and artwork for the general public in the galleries and also albums that will probably be of more interest for our family members or close personal friends. But don't let that stop you from looking, if it was something we didn't want someone to see, it wouldn't be here. We will attempt to post at least some pictures that will be a little interesting. Note we did use the word "attempt". The only promiss we can make here, is that they will be viewable by any age group. So no worrys for the parrents.
About Photo Image Files:
Many of our photos on this site were taken using a Olympus D600L digital camera. These pictures, although not all, were taken at a high resolution setting of 1280 x1024 and then resized to fit different uses.
Reasons for the variation on sizes depends on the use for which the image or photo was intended for. When on-screen viewing only, it is not neccessary to have a high resolution image file, which will take longer to load on the computer and also more space if saving to disk. Usually a file can be saved as a medium quality jpeg and look just fine when viewed on-screen. The advantage of these lower quality files reguarding the internet, is that people with slower modem connections don't have to wait forever to download the file just to see a picture. On the other hand, if you want to use your printer to print out a image file, then it is best to have the highest resolution and quality file you can get to assure a good looking print. Art work is also saved to files commonly using the same format. Meaning that an image file can be simply a cartoon or text. It does not have to be an acutualy photo to be considered a image. So whenever you are looking for pictures keep in mind what you intend to use them for. For printing out and working with in art or photo programs it is recommended to download the highest quality/resolution picture you can find and use as is or downsize to adjust to fit your printing needs.
